Maybe you’ve arrived here feeling stuck, overwhelmed, hopeless, or fed-up. Maybe your life and relationships aren’t what they could be and you feel alone. Maybe you’ve tried everything you can think of, but nothing seems to work.
Let’s talk. Hope and healing begin as you feel heard, understood and companioned. I’d be so honored to hear your story and work with you on new possibilities. My approach is client-centered and trauma-informed, drawing from a variety of therapies as needed. I’m trained to work with individuals, couples, and families in a wide range of subjects; I also have personal experience as a foster and adoptive parent, caring for aging parents, and supporting persons with terminal illnesses.
My clients are from diverse ethnicities, backgrounds and beliefs. I see faith as an invaluable resource without pressuring you to believe as I do – your questions are welcome.

I became a therapist because…
I’ve always been drawn to conversations that matter. After several other careers (graphic designer, event planner, conference coordinator, writer/marketer, home educator, home health provider) I realized that I would drop everything to listen to someone in emotional or spiritual pain. My “1001 Interests” help create a connection with just about anyone!
A Note About Insurance
I became a therapist because I value connections with people and am committed to partnering with my clients in healing and growth. I do not like the idea that an insurance provider can limit your access to care. Therefore, I offer a reasonable rate with the option of requesting your fee be calculated on a sliding scale in the case of financial constraints. In general, my fees are $80 for a 50-minute session. I can provide a billable receipt/submit to insurance for reimbursement; however, you are responsible for payment.
Other Focus Areas Include
1. Counseling Contract (Note: This document is for your reference; we will discuss it together during your first session. DO NOT complete it before you arrive. Thanks!)
3. HIPPA Acknowledgement
4. Physician Notification (Note: If your physician has recommended therapy, or if you would like him/her to be aware that you are receiving care in case medication seems advisable, you may use this form to authorize CPS to inform your physician.
5. Minor Consent (Note: You need only complete this form if you are the custodial parent of a minor for whom you desire treatment.)
6. Sliding Scale Application (Note: This is optional. It is my intention to set a reasonable fee in order to make care available to all clients; however, should you be experiencing temporary financial difficulties, you may request a sliding scale, to be reviewed every 6 months.)
